They use water from a thermal spring in France as the core to each of their formulas, a source which is rich in the mineral selenium.

We have chosen Murad for our brand edit because we respect their rigorous approach to clinical product testing. 

Murad was founded in 1989 by Dr Murad, a board certified dermatologist and pharmacist in the US. His range focuses on antioxidants and hydration, as well as daily UV protection. All formulas are clinically tested for efficacy, using high-performance actives to achieve noticeable results.

We love Neostrata for its pioneering approach to skin surface renewal, and the benefits of exfoliating acids. 

Neostrata was one of the first cosmeceutical brands to launch, back in 1974. They were the first to discover the effects of Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) in skincare, and their whole brand ethos focuses on skin renewal, and the benefits of resurfacing ingredients to support our skins natural renewal process. As a brand, they also put a lot of focus around ingredient education, with a whole section of their website dedicated being an ingredients dictionary, giving each a score based on the level of peer-reviewed, scientific papers on the efficacy.

Acetylarginyltryptophyl Diphenylglycine is a synthetic tetrapeptide used in skincare for its firming abilities. It works by inhibiting the enzyme elastase, which breaks down elastin in the skin (the protein responsible for skin firmness and elasticity). This reduction in elastase allows for higher levels of elastin in the skin, which in turn leads to skin that looks firmer, tighter and restructured.
