Bioderma’s Sebium line uses specialist FluidactivTM ingredient technology to help alter the composition of the skin’s sebum, which in turn helps to prevent the instances of breakouts and blackheads. One of the contributing factors in acne formation is sebum which is different in composition compared with that of healthy skin. Research shows that sebum in acneic skin typically contains less fatty acids and a higher concentration of squalene vs. non-acneic skin. This innovative formula uses patented FluidactivTM technology, which works to encourage the skin to produce sebum with the composition of healthy skin. The formula also contains agaric acid, an astringent ingredient which helps to refine overall skin texture and radiance, as well as mattifying powders to absorb excess oils and reduce shine. Salicylic acid helps to dissolve dead skin cell and sebum build up from within the pore, reducing congestion and preventing further breakouts. Clinical studies show that after 8 hours, the number of visible pores is reduced by 14%, and there is a 31% improvement in skin smoothness. On top of this, 84% agreed that skin was not shiny at the end of the day after use.

Morning and evening, apply over face, neck and decollete, massaging from the centre of the face outwards. Use as the final step in your evening routine, after cleansing and treatment products. Follow with your SPF in the morning.
