Bioderma’s Sebium line uses specialist FluidactivTM ingredient technology to help alter the composition of the skin’s sebum, which in turn helps to prevent the instances of breakouts and blackheads. One of the contributing factors in acne formation is sebum which is different in composition compared with that of healthy skin. Research shows that sebum in acneic skin typically contains less fatty acids and a higher concentration of squalene vs. non-acneic skin. This innovative formula combines Bioderma’s Fluidactiv patent with bakuchiol to encourage the skin to produce sebum with the composition of healthy skin. In addition, alpha hydroxy acid esters, salicylic acid and citric acid work to exfoliate the top layer of the skin, and break down dead cells and sebum within the pore to decongest and reduce breakouts and blackheads. Zinc gluconate regulates sebum production to control sine, and enoxolone works to soothe the associated inflammation to calm any redness. Clinical studies show that after 12 weeks of daily use of this product, blackheads are reduced by 65% and breakouts by 79%.

Once or twice daily, after cleansing & treatment products, apply over face, neck and decollete, moving from the centre of the face outward until fully absorbed.
