Rediscover Your Glow

As a busy mum, it’s not a surprise if your skin loses its glow as tiredness takes its toll. We can help rediscover that glow by recommending the right products and ingredients for your skin. Our experienced aestheticians will guide you through every step, ensuring your skincare routine is tailored to your specific needs and fits seamlessly into your busy schedule.

Common Skincare Questions from Mums

We often get asked the same questions from our busy mum members. Here are some common queries!

"Since becoming a mum, my fine lines seem to be developing at an exponential rate - how can I prevent them?”

Many mothers are interested in anti-ageing skincare tips and products. Let's face it those night feeds or ‘terrible two’ tantrums can have an impact on stress levels and quality of sleep. This can impact our skin, and collagen production and result in fine lines and a reduction of elasticity.

The best ingredients for treating fine lines and wrinkles include Retinol, Vitamin C and Peptides. You can learn more about anti-ageing skincare recommendations in our blog. Renude can recommend which ingredients to start using so as not to aggravate your skin and how to incorporate them into your routine. These products also come in a range of prices, so let us help decide which are best for you based on your overall budget.

"What skincare products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?"

Expecting and breastfeeding mothers often enquire about skincare products and ingredients that are safe for them and their babies. Although brilliant and effective, active ingredients like Hydroquinone, Salicylic acid, Vitamin A, and the retinoid family are unfortunately to be avoided during pregnancy. However, ingredients like Azelaic Acid and Niacinamide are great alternatives.

Find out more about what ingredients to avoid during pregnancy and ingredients you can use instead in our blog.

"What sunscreen should I use for my family, and how often should we apply it?"

Sun protection is a common concern, especially for mothers who want to protect their children from harmful UV rays. Our recommendation is to always look for a sunscreen that offers broad-spectrum protection - shielding from both UVA and UVB rays as well as invisible light rays and pollutants.

Sunscreen should usually be applied every two hours. For your face, we recommend two fingers worth of product per application.

"How can I soothe dry or irritated skin (mine and my kids) in the winter months?"

Skin hydration and protection from harsh weather conditions are often concerns during the colder seasons. If your skin becomes irritated and red, we have a guide for how best to treat it! If you’re looking for help finding out how to treat ultra-dry or flaky skin, we have that too! The change of seasons can have a massive impact on your skin, and in some cases can cause havoc even with oilier skin types, but our Renude aestheticians really know their stuff and can build you a routine, adapt your current one or offer you select product recommendations to support your skin barrier

"How can I manage acne or breakouts in my teenage children?"

Mums with teenagers may seek advice on how to help their children deal with acne and establish an effective skincare routine. Our guide to teen acne explains exactly what teen acne is, how it differs from adult acne and looks into the best ways to treat it.  Renude can support people of all ages, so if your teen wants unbiased skin care advice we can easily jump on a call and advise on a skincare routine that’s just right for them. They’ll just need an adult present to join the video call.

If this guide has helped you, you won't regret deciding to join Renude today. Take advantage of your free first call with our skincare experts and tick finding effective skincare off your priority list as we do all the hard work for you. Start our two-minute skin care quiz
