At the start of April, Renude co-hosted a breakfast event with The Future Laboratory — one of the UK’s leading luxury trend forecasting agencies — at Curve Club in Old Street.

We were joined by a room of brand leaders, retailers and industry insiders to explore the future of consumer behaviour and the growing role of AI in skincare. One of the big themes was trust: both in technology and in the brands who adopt it.

This trust is rising fastest among Gen Z, a demographic already fluent in chat interfaces and daily users of tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini and DeepSeek. Almost everyone in the room said they use it every day — clear evidence of just how quickly conversational AI has entered the mainstream. Typing a question and getting a clear, tailored response is now an expected digital behaviour, not a novelty.

That expectation is reshaping how businesses engage online. Personalised experiences are no longer a ‘nice to have’ — they’re essential to drive loyalty and retention.

To bring that point to life, we wrapped the session with a live demo of Renude’s latest innovation: Skin Chat AI.

In the demo, we showed how a customer might ask for a swap for a product they already use.
